Production Scheduler A highly regarded and established manufacturing company is seeking a Production Scheduler to join their team. As a Production Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in managing the Work Order Process (WOP) using Sage and Excel, ensuring that production flows smoothly by sourcing materials, maintaining stock levels, and collaborating across departments. You will act as a bridge between Sales, Warehouse, and Production, ensuring accurate communication and data flow to meet production targets and timelines. Key Responsibilities: Manage & Forecast Stock Levels: Monitor and maintain stock levels to ensure smooth production flow. WOP System Management: Oversee the Work Order Process (WOP) using Sage to raise work orders, track stock levels, and ensure orders are processed in a timely manner. Sourcing Materials: Source materials from suppliers and negotiate cost-effective prices, with a particular focus on materials such as acrylics. Cost and Trend Analysis: Analyse production costs and trends to ensure optimal material procurement and production efficiency. Raise Work Orders & Scheduling: Create and manage work orders and production schedules, ensuring labour and material requirements align with production timelines. Monitor Material Levels: Track standard lines of materials, assess risks of shortages, and raise orders as necessary. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with departments including Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and Production to ensure the smooth flow of information. Production Support: Assist in generating production codes and entering necessary information into systems for production teams. Reports and Data Analysis: Review historical production data, generate reports, and analyse key metrics to guide decision-making and improve production processes. Key Skills & Experience: Production scheduling/planning or controlling experience would be ideal within a manufacturing or similar environment WOP System Knowledge: Proficient in using Sage Manufacturing or similar systems for work order and inventory management. Excel Proficiency: Comfortable using Excel for data management, analysis, and report generation including pivot tables, sums and formulas Benefits: Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
