Job Title: Registered Manager – Children and Young People
Salary: Negotiable, at least over £40k, depending on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Requirements:
* Driving Licence (required)
* L5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (preferred)
* Level 4 in Children and Young People’s Practitioner (preferred)
The Residential Children’s Care Home Manager is a key member of our management team and is critical to the success of the work we do and the outcomes we achieve. We are searching for the right person to join and lead our new projects through the next exciting phase of our development.
You will be responsible for managing 1 Solo Occupancy Children’s Residential Care Home, ensuring that it is a safe and secure place for the child. We will only ever accommodate one child or young person at a time.

Duties:
1. Lead and manage 1 Solo Occupancy Children’s Home in a consistent and reliable manner.
2. Ensure that the home's Statement of Purpose is adhered to throughout all working practices.
3. Achieve “Good” with the aspirational focus to achieve an “Outstanding” Service under Children’s Home Regulations and Ofsted Regulatory framework.
4. Manage services, including staff management and supervisions, care and placement planning, safeguarding, communications, report writing, and monitoring overall quality and compliance of service.
5. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
6. Complete all required reports in line with timescales.
7. Ensure that the child has individual care and care planning that is child-focused and personalised to meet their needs.
8. Manage safeguarding children, risk, and service governance.
9. Ensure that children have access to all services that meet their individual needs.
10. Regularly supervise the staff team and others as required.
11. Support and have overall responsibility for the recruitment of staff in line with organisational policy and procedure.
12. Coach and support the development of the team.
13. Support staff with their initial induction, probationary reviews, individual practice support plans, and annual reviews and development of individual plans to support ongoing service and personal development and CPD opportunities.

Experience: 2 years’ experience working with children in the last 5 years, supervision or management experience, working with children, young people, and their families, work in a residential setting, multi-agency working knowledge and understanding.
