Store Manager - Charity Retail Superstore
Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire
Salary: £35,000-£38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, including weekends)
Store Opening Hours: Monday - Saturday 9:30am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm

My client is looking for a passionate Store Manager to lead and expand their thriving charity Superstore based on Barns Road, Oxford. You will be a current Store Manager with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; this is a high footfall Superstore, so the ability to work with pace and offer a high-quality customer experience is a must.
This is a unique opportunity to use your commercial retail expertise to drive revenue while supporting a social enterprise dedicated to ending homelessness.

The Role
As the Store Manager, you will:
1. Oversee the day-to-day running of the charity retail superstore, ensuring excellent customer service and sales performance.
2. Lead and motivate a diverse team of staff, volunteers, and companions (people with lived experience of homelessness).
3. Drive income growth, manage merchandising, and optimise stock management.
4. Oversee house clearance operations and a team managing stock collection and deliveries.
5. Ensure health & safety compliance and maintain high operational standards.
6. Collaborate with the Learning & Development Manager to support companion training and work experience programmes.
What We're Looking For
1. Proven experience in retail management, preferably within the charity sector or a social enterprise.
2. Strong leadership & people management skills, with experience of training, coaching, and supervising teams.
3. Commercial acumen, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
4. Excellent communication and organisational skills to manage a busy and varied retail environment.
5. Experience working with vulnerable people and a commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.
6. Hands-on and proactive approach, with a passion for social impact.
