Overview
Expleo have an opportunity for an experienced aerospace composite design engineer to support a local OEM customer on a development project, fulltime onsite at their Belfast premises. The role will involve being responsible for formulating technical solutions for a range of tasks ensuring that design standards and customer requirements are met within your design.
You will need to be competent and experienced in the application of Fibersim for design to support this role.
Responsibilities
* Development of Catia V5 composite structural design in support of technical reviews and customer agreed decisions/proposals.
* Development of the digital mockup.
* Support to DMMs & ongoing IPDT meetings held via Teams calls.
* Storage of files in Windchill database.
* Implement technical solutions to ensure they are compliant with all relevant customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements, within agreed program, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.
* Perform all activities at a level of minimal supervision and guide other engineers within the work-package as required.
Essential skills
* Experience with working with stakeholders, lead engineers, chief engineers and project managers.
* CAD Catia V5 R29
* Fibersim
* MS Office
* Good Communication
* Knowledge of aerospace structural composite design standards and processes.
Experience
* Previous Windchill experience would be beneficial.
