Software developer - Remote (Midlands) Our client is looking to hire a software developer (.Net) to join their thriving team. This is a remote role requiring occasional travel to the offices in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire - this is approximately once every 3 weeks for Sprint meetings and occasionally other meetings, so you’ll need to be able to commit to this. Our client offers flexible working around core hours of 10am - 4pm. Any experience of working in a similar (.net developer) role within a highly regulated industry would be highly advantageous. Skills and experience: Minimum of 2 years commercial software development experience. Experience with DevOps, continuous integration environments/processes. Experience of working in an Agile project environment. Experience developing applications using TDD e.g. NUnit Experience of .NET development, including ASP.Net Web API, C#, WPF, Entity Framework, SignalR. Angular development, including HTML and CSS, Typescript and JS. A thorough understanding of SOLID design principles. Experience designing and developing relational databases. About the role Working within a team of developers, you will be responsible for the following: Produce high quality code\solutions to coding standards and best practices. Ensure compliance to all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) relating to the software development procedures. Provide reliable task breakdowns and time estimates for work as required within your allocated project. Contribute to team and organisational best practices, and champion new approaches. Work closely with product managers/owners and software testers, actively seeking information where needed and aiding in refinement. Actively develop domain knowledge to assist in defining software requirements. Pro-actively support the test team in ensuring the quality of testing and product delivery. Contribute to daily stand-ups, refinement, and retrospective meetings with a clear and confident approach. Maintain up to date knowledge on technological developments in primary development platforms.
