Job summary
Dr Mirza & Partners has an opportunity for an administrator/receptionist to join their busy practice support team, on a full or part-time basis, this can be up hours per week. This position is a key role within the practice to provide administrative support to members of the primary health care team.
You will work as part of a team providing front line administration services including sending referrals, processing solicitors/SAR/patient letters requests, as well as booking of outpatient and inpatient appointments and general office duties.
This position requires a self-motivated and professional individual with the confidence and ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team. If you are a well organised person, who thrives in a busy working environment where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
1. Registering new patients.
2. Scanning hospital letters and all mail ensuring scanned.
3. Stock ordering.
4. Processing repeat prescriptions.
5. Email management.
6. Holiday cover for reception.
7. Billing and invoicing.
8. Processing orders and payments for the practice.
9. Manage referrals.
10. Processing reports, patient letter requests, SARs etc. use of IGPR.
11. Covering reception, as and when required.
12. Handling phone enquiries efficiently.
About us
Dr Mirza & Partners consists of a practice population of approximately have 3 GP partners, two regular GP locums and an associated staff of practice nurses/HCA to provide medical services to our patients.
We are part of the Hatters Health Network, providing additional health support for our surgery in conjunction with 5 other practices.
