We are now looking for an Assistant Planner to join our Planning Department on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role
As an Assistant Planner, you will assist in the co-ordination and management of live construction projects in Ascot.
Supporting the development, monitoring and maintenance of each project, you will ensure that production and commercial teams are aligned on critical activities and project risks, while maintaining compliance with internal business processes.
You will assist in the production of programme updates, gather progress information and analyse any deviations or changes on-site.
Additionally, you will contribute to design management and procurement processes, ensuring that programmes are fully linked and resourced to meet contract requirements.
Your role will also involve:
- Producing weekly programme updates and planning reports - Supporting the project team in developing tender programmes - Liaising with subcontractors - Assisting in recording the effects of changes on site and their impact on the programme - Developing visual planning aids for the production team to enhance programme understanding - Liaising with the Estimator and engineering teams on tender deliverables and temporary works schemes
About You
To be considered as an Assistant Planner, you will need to demonstrate:
- Qualifications appropriate to the role - Developing construction knowledge - Experience of both NEC and JCT Forms of Contract - IT skills and relevant knowledge of planning software including Asta PowerProject and others where possible - Ability to work calmly under pressure - Embrace technology and modern methods of construction and strive for efficiencies - Problem solver with the ability to break issues down and drive results - Recognise driving critical activities and actively deliver mitigation measures - Recognise the importance of change management and the associated risks
Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous as would site management experience.
