What you'll be doing?
Supporting the business and our Scotland and Northern divisional offices, you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.
Reporting to the Regional Senior HR Business Partner, you will provide advice and support to Line Managers and HR Co-ordinator’s on employee relations, policy and reward issues and provide effective administration services for key HR related areas, in order to assist in the achievement of the wider HR strategy.
You will be expected to
* Provide advice and support to Line Manager and HRCs on ER issues – absence, performance management, capability, redundancy etc.
* Checking letters/correspondence produced by HRC’s before distributed, as appropriate
* Handle day to day queries on HR policy and processes from HRCs
* Case manage complex/high risk cases
* Support SHRBP/HRBP with the collation of HR reports and general HR administration
* Contribute to the continuous development of HR by undertaking ad hoc projects in line with HR strategy
* Working in collaboration with the other HR Advisers to drive consistency across all the Regions.
* Carry out the responsibilities of a core system user associated with the applicant tracking system (Recruitment Portal)
* Input into the design and review of HR Policy, Processes and procedures in consultation with the SHRBP/HRBP
* Contribute to Policy updates and procedures, letters and forms updates, updating the Delegation of Authority, communicating the changes as appropriate
* Creating and closing “posts” and “positions” on iTrent once the authorised documentation has been received by the HRCs
What you'll need?
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
* Understanding of core HR policies, processes and legislation to be able to confidently advise and guide on ER cases
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Highly organised, a strong communicator and attention to detail
* High level of customer orientation
* Professional and pleasant manner in dealing with internal and external customers
* A team player who strives to actively help others
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Proactive, self-motivated
* Excel proficiency would be advantageous
* Must be a CIPD member or progressing towards
* A proven track record of providing credible employment law advice to Line Managers and employees as well as guidance on policies
