About the Department:
The Sport team at Manchester Met University oversees all non-academic sport and physical activity programmes across the University. This includes our extensive free sport and fitness programme, intra-mural leagues, over 40 student-led sport clubs, and an elite sport scholarship programme. We are proud to boast state-of-the-art facilities and provide a wide range of opportunities for students to stay active, happy, and healthy while at University.
We are recognised as a performance sport institute, working with the Manchester Met Institute of Sport and elite sporting partners in our city to support talented athletes. We are passionate about supporting students to fulfil their sporting potential and are excited to be working with our student athletes to achieve that.
About the Role:
The Sport Development Officer (Participation) will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our non-competitive sport office and help create and implement new initiatives designed at increasing and sustaining participation opportunities at the University.

To succeed in your application you will:
1. Have a sports-specific undergraduate degree/similar level qualification (i.e., NVQ Level 4) or substantial relevant experience that demonstrates a high order of literacy, numeracy, and analytical skills.
2. Have experience in organising, promoting, and delivering sports activities, events, and competitions.
3. Have experience of delivering outstanding customer service, preparing reports, and working with a range of stakeholders and partners to deliver sports programmes and activities.
4. Be able to demonstrate you are passionate about getting people physically active!
