Recent experience required in an EYFS Setting
Qualified Teacher Status is a necessity
Good- Outstanding recent references required.
An oversubscribed, reputable Primary School located in the outskirts of Preston requires an inspirational Reception Class Teacher to cover a gap in staffing in school from FEBRUARY 2025. The Head teacher has specifically approached the agency to shortlist candidates. There will be the opportunity for transition before Christmas break with the current post-holder. The Headteacher is keen to secure an experienced teacher for this role; however, will consider Newly Qualified Teachers with Outstanding placement reports. The Headteacher will only consider candidates who have recent experience delivering the EYFS Curriculum.
Due to the nature of the children who arrive in school, the Head teacher is keen to meet the candidates and gain a better understanding of their experiences. Candidates must have good experiences working alongside children with SEN and be able to differentiate to meet individual and complex needs.
The children arriving in school have a good routine already implemented by the current post-holder and they have settled into school very quickly since September; the class is supported by a well-experienced Level 3 TA. Additionally, there is another Teaching Assistant who works alongside a child with special educational needs in the class, and the successful candidate will be expected to tailor planning for this support.
The Head teacher and SLT in school are very accommodating to new and temporary staff. In the past, we have had teachers who have enjoyed their experience in school and also commented on the amount of support they received. The children arrive in school working in line with age-related levels, and so there is a huge emphasis on making sure the children progress, particularly with social and communication needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an EYFS Specialist. This role will not be available for long, so it is important that the applying candidates send through updated CVs ASAP and have references and DBS information readily available. Rates of pay are competitive for this role, and the successful applicant will be a front runner for when the permanent role is advertised in school.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
