Residential Care Practitioner Opportunity - Swadlincote
Bridge2Future Care Group are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team within a new specialist Children's Residential Home based in Swadlincote. The role will require working shifts between the hours of 9.30am and 11pm. There will also be a requirement to sleep in the home overnight on some occasions. When completing sleep-ins you would finish work the next day at 10am, and would receive a sleep-in supplement of £60 per shift for the hours between 11pm and 7am.

Our successful Residential Care Practitioner will need to possess the following skills and attributes:
Possession of a Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards this
Some relevant experience in working with Children and Young People that have social and emotional difficulties or behaviour that challenges.
Full UK Manual Driving Licence
Ability to work shifts and sleep in the home overnight
As a Residential Care Practitioner you will be responsible for a range of duties as set out below:
Ensuring that our Young People receive the highest standard of support/care appropriate to their individual needs.
Providing advice, assistance, and support to Young People, safeguarding their welfare at all times.
Ensuring that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
Attending to Young People’s practical, physical, and emotional needs and acting as an appropriate role model.
Working closely with Young People to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.
Completing written reports and documentation
Supporting and being involved with the reviewing of Care plans, Risk Assessments, Behaviour Management Plans, Health Care Documentation, Agreements, and Incentives for the young people in the home.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
