Key Responsibilities: Lead the registration process for the new home, ensuring compliance with all OFSTED requirements. Manage all aspects of the residential service, including staff recruitment, training, and performance management. Develop and maintain policies and procedures in line with Children’s Home regulations and Quality Standards. Foster a nurturing, safe, and empowering environment for children and young people. Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities and families. Ensure the home delivers high-quality care that meets or exceeds regulatory standards. Essential Requirements: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People’s Services (or willingness to complete within six months of employment). At least two years of experience supervising and managing staff in a residential children’s setting. Comprehensive understanding of Children’s Homes regulations, OFSTED requirements, and related legislation. Proven ability to lead and inspire a team while maintaining high standards of care. Enhanced DBS clearance (required prior to starting the role). Full UK driving licence (preferred). Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday with flexibility for occasional out-of-hours requirements.
