Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager for a Public Sector client in Derbyshire on a permanent basis.
Job Purpose: Procurement Manager
* To support the Head of Procurement in the delivery of a strategically focused, professional, and efficient procurement service
* Providing advice, support, and guidance to stakeholders at all levels, using best practice procurement and supply change management principles
Main responsibilities: Procurement Manager
* Support in implementing a Procurement Strategy
* Manage procurement activity within an assigned area of spend
* To support the maintenance of the contracts register
* To develop and implement appropriate procurement strategies
* Proactive involvement in contract negotiations with suppliers
* Ensure appropriate reviews are carried out following the contract award
* Ensure consistency with national procurement regulations
* Stakeholder engagement
* To apply corporate procurement policy and procedures
* To provide line management to the procurement officers
Person specification: Procurement Manager
* Public Sector experience - essential
* CIPS Qualified - Ideal
* 3 years of procurement experience
* Previous experience in managing the tender processes
* Experience in providing procurement and contract management
