Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust (OHFT) has been awarded a £38M contract for the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to transform mental and brain health care in the UK. This infrastructure funding supports 11 Research Themes and other activities until 31 March 2028.
OHFT has identified Research as one of four key objectives in its five-year strategy making this an exciting time to join the Trust. As well as the BRC, it hosts the NIHR Oxford Health Clinical Research Facility (CRF), the NIHR Applied Research Collaborative (ARC) and the NIHR/Office for Life Sciences (OLS) Mental Health Mission (MHM) delivered via the NIHR Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration (MH-TRC).
You will be involved in a project management role in the Oxford Health BRC as it builds a national network to deliver innovations in mental and brain health and fosters closer interaction with the other NIHR infrastructure described above to support the EDI Strategy for the Oxford Health BRC.
Working closely with the BRC's Academic Lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), you'll be responsible for project management of all work undertaken in support of the NIHR approved EDI Strategy for the Oxford Health BRC. This will include:
1. Refinement and further development of the EDI Strategy.
2. Fostering productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
3. Linking with others across Oxford and the BRC's 13 partners to drive the EDI agenda.
4. Fostering and developing close links with patients and communities who may benefit from the BRC's work.
You will have responsibility for keeping relevant data and records for drafting all paperwork connected with NIHR reporting and also for identifying and sourcing EDI-related articles for the BRC website. You'll also scope and deliver BRC events and workshops focused on EDI (which might also include PPIEP).
As part of an established, highly professional and supportive core team, based in both OHFT and the University of Oxford, you will build and maintain relationships and deal with matters of a sensitive nature in a competent and empathetic manner. The EDI Project Manager will be line-managed by the BRC Strategic Partnerships Manager and have a dotted line to the BRC Academic Lead for EDI.
