Following substantial growth, they are now looking to strengthen the finance team. Supporting the Finance Director, they are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Finance Controller to lead the finance function in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.

Your new role as Financial Controller:As Financial Controller you will be responsible for overseeing the financial control, consolidation, Financial Planning and Analysis, and reporting processes across the organisation, including its international subsidiaries. You will work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic insights and drive financial performance across multiple regions and business units, managing a small team. Key Responsibilities:• Financial Control & Reporting: Manage the financial control framework for the group, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of financial performance from all business units, including manufacturing and distribution operations, both in the UK and internationally.• Financial Consolidation: Lead the consolidation of financials from multiple international subsidiaries and divisions, ensuring compliance with local and group reporting requirements, as well as accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).• FP&A Leadership: Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing in-depth analysis and insights on performance to support decision-making by senior management and stakeholders.• Performance Analysis & Reporting: Deliver high-quality financial analysis, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and actionable insights, to senior leaders across the organisation, focusing on cost management, profitability, and operational efficiency.• International Subsidiary Management: Provide financial oversight and support for international subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with group policies and procedures, and providing guidance on local financial reporting, tax compliance, and statutory requirements.• Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Monitor and manage group cash flow, ensuring liquidity across manufacturing and distribution units, and identifying opportunities for working capital optimisation.• Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain a robust system of internal controls across the business, ensuring compliance with group policies, local regulations, and international financial reporting standards.• Audit & Tax Compliance: Lead the relationship with external auditors, managing audits for both the UK and international operations, and ensuring timely and efficient compliance with tax and statutory requirements.• Process Improvements: Identify and implement process improvements within financial control, reporting, and consolidation activities, particularly across multiple locations and international entities.• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operational, commercial, and senior leadership teams, to provide financial insights that drive strategy and operational decision-making.• M&A and Business Integration: Support financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and business integration processes, particularly those involving international subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.• Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, ensuring effective teamwork, training, and development opportunities.Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:To be considered you shall have a proven track record of adding value in a senior Financial Controller role.
With strong commercial acumen, and the ability to understand and influence business strategy, your experience within the manufacturing sector will enable insightful analysis and drive cost management in a fast-paced environment. Technically astute and formally qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA (QBE is also considered) you will have solid experience in financial control and reporting within the manufacturing and/or distribution sectors. With a demonstrated background in the management of budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and providing strategic recommendations based on financial data you will also have staff management experience.
With advanced experience with ERP systems you shall also be rehearsed in managing financial projects, including the implementation of process improvements, system upgrades, and financial integration projects.Salary and reward on offer:This is a unique opportunity to join a global leader.
