The Role:
As a Hydro Excavation Operator, you'll be responsible for:
* Driving and operating a Class 4 Hydro Excavation or Vacuum Truck.
* Using high-pressure water to safely excavate around underground utilities.
* Handling the vacuum system to remove debris and excavated material.
* Working closely with site managers to ensure smooth project execution.
* Marking out utility lines before excavation.
* Keeping accurate job records and ensuring the worksite is tidy upon completion.
* Prioritising health and safety in all operations.
What We're Looking For:
* A valid Class 4 NZ Driver's Licence.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test along with a MOJ.
* A strong work ethic and willingness to learn—training provided!
* Good physical fitness (the role can be physically demanding).
* Experience with heavy trucks/machinery, civil construction, plumbing, or drainage is a plus, but not required.
