The post will be located in the Contact Centre. The post is a 18 month fixed term full time position. The post holders main duties will be to responsible for two teams that will deliver efficient and comprehensive referral management and outpatient booking service to patients, ensuring a high level of customer care and maintaining confidentiality at all times. For further information and informal discussion please contact Ashley Spencer Email address ashley.spencer2nhs.net Main duties of the job To motivate and provide effective leadership to the team of Booking Clerks working within Patient Access Ensure that the service operates within acceptable timeframes eg ensuring Partial booking letters are sent out Monitor and control the use of effective resource allocation within the team ensuring all tasks are covered to ensure the service meets acceptable timeframes alerting Line Manager to any difficulties and issues Ensure that the Partial booking team operates effectively, maintaining adequate cover within the Contact Centre Prioritise and manage own daily workload to ensure the department is run efficiently and effectively meeting the conflicting demands placed on the service Responsible for performance management of staff within area of responsibility on a day to day basis seeking advice support from Line Manager where appropriate Participate in team meetings ensuring that relevant information is passed on to your team Maintain the confidentiality of any information obtained regarding patients and be aware of the Data Protection Act Caldicott and Freedom of Information policies Deal with complaints in accordance with Trust procedure.
