First Point Group is recruiting for a Project Manager (PRINCE2 / APM / PMP) for our telecoms client. Candidates must have previous Project Management experience working for UK telecom companies such as Virgin Media, Vodafone, MBNL, BT/EE, Cellnex, Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia etc.

Role Overview:
Lead the successful initiation, execution, and closure of projects in alignment with company governance frameworks. This role ensures deliverables are transitioned effectively to operations and that risk and issue management processes are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish, manage, and close projects following established governance and delivery standards.
* Document project outputs, analytical processes, and tools used throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensure smooth handover of deliverables to operational teams, with a clear focus on skills and knowledge transfer.
* Implement and maintain effective risk mitigation and issue management strategies.
* Identify required skills for the project and assemble a capable delivery team.
* Define roles, responsibilities, and reporting structures for all project stakeholders, and provide performance feedback as needed.
* Manage scope, monitor delivery progress, and resolve deviations from plan.
* Provide accurate, timely updates to stakeholders in line with portfolio governance standards, escalating issues as appropriate.
Core Competencies, Knowledge & Experience:
* Solid understanding of fixed-line networks and supporting technologies.
* Familiarity with cross-functional operations including technology, IT, product management, fulfilment, and customer operations.
* Strong customer engagement and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Proven ability to apply structured project governance and control mechanisms to drive successful outcomes.
* Experience in defining business objectives, scope, and deliverables in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
* Skilled in creating and managing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with detailed deliverables and schedules.
* Effective stakeholder negotiation and relationship management.
* Facilitates project reviews and benefits tracking in accordance with governance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
* PRINCE2, APM, or PMI certification
* ITIL Foundation
* Management of Risk (MoR)
