Electrical Estates Technician
(Higher Level) Band 5
Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust’s Estate Department requires an Electrical Technician based at St James University Hospital.
You will be part of the team who are responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive electrical maintenance and installation, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety and other relevant legislation.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake maintenance and repairs on Electrical Installations and various other systems, equipment and services.
2. Inspect & test & certify installations.
3. Maintain equipment as part of a planned preventative maintenance system.
4. Communicate effectively with various levels of staff across the Trust.
Qualifications:
Applicants will hold a BTEC HNC / HND / NVQ Level III / City & Guilds 2360 / 2391 / 2395 or equivalent qualification, must have a recognized apprenticeship in electrical Installations, and must have previous experience in electrical Installation / maintenance / engineering, preferably in a Healthcare / Hospital maintenance environment.
Applicants must demonstrate flexibility and initiative when dealing with a wide range of engineering services.
