Job Title: Production Quality Engineer Electronics Department: Quality Summary: My client has over 40 years' experience in the design and manufacture of switch mode AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies for use in harsh and demanding military and industrial environments. Other high reliability products include uninterruptible power supplies, battery backup and conditioning as well as PoE power solutions. They are experts in electronic and mechanical design with a reputation for quality and field-proven reliability. Production Quality Engineer Description: To be the interface between Manufacturing Quality and Engineering with particular attention to the following: - They are looking for someone who understands product build in detail and will not only target exceptional levels of quality and adherence to procedures but will apply production engineering techniques to optimize efficiency and control across the shop floor. This should include the flow of materials throughout the internal processes and some understanding of supply chain and the effect on internal efficiency and quality. To record and manage system, process, and material non-conformities, root cause analysis/investigation into customer complaints/returns and reporting using 8D report format; carry out internal and external (2nd party) system/manufacturing process/product audits; maintenance and development of business management systems (quality, environment, health & safety); an understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Work instructions to be prepared in conjunction with Engineering DO, ensuring adherence to the drawing pack & DRs within production. Education / Experience: Quality Engineer The ideal candidate will have experience/competence in. Hold a Quality / Electronics / Engineering qualification/Experience of Audit Quality assurance within an electronics design, development and/or manufacturing environment. Experienced with non-conformities/root cause and 8D Have an interest in electronic / mechanical design and product manufacture Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Teamwork skills Able to work with limited supervision Able to follow directions Results oriented while maintaining attention to detail Ability and willingness to learn Excellent Compensation and Benefits: Hours: Hours of Work: 38 per week, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm (half hour lunch) Monday Thursday, 8.30 am to 12.30 pm Friday.
