We are working with an established regional main contractor who has recently opened a new regional hub near Winchester to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the management team. They have been a real success story over the last decade and have continued to grow in a managed, controlled, and sensible manner, with additional opportunities to work with both repeat existing and new clients who want to work with them. They have already exceeded turnover targets for both 2024 and 2025.
They operate in the commercial, industrial, education, and local authority sectors on schemes up to £10 million in the Dorset, Hampshire, and West Sussex areas, working with local clients and a trusted supply chain. They negotiate directly with long-term repeat opportunities as well as work on a range of framework opportunities they target.
The role is to work with the precon teams and directors at contract award stages to handle procurement and initial cost planning before taking projects onto site. You will manage site financial matters such as payments, valuations, variation accounts, CVRs, forecasting, and planning multiple projects, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
An important part of their success has been developing their staff, and you will have the opportunity to manage your day and workloads to best suit your skills and talents within an agreed framework. You will have full autonomy to make decisions that suit the project and business, as well as help train and develop the junior and trainee members of the team.
They are a great company to join with plenty of work in the pipeline, an established workforce, and a supply chain in place, along with clients that trust them.
If you have worked for a Tier 1 or 2 business or an established main contractor and want to work locally on a range of projects and schemes where you can make a real difference and be appreciated for your efforts and hard work, then this is the job for you. Get in touch today.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
