Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is looking for committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join a supportive and inclusive team in one of our partnering specialist provisions for Primary Key Stage 1 and 2 students. This role offers a unique opportunity to support children with special educational needs (SEN) and help them thrive in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Impactful Work: Play a crucial role in empowering primary-aged students with SEN to reach their full potential. You'll help them overcome challenges and build confidence in a positive, nurturing environment.
* Individualized Support: Work closely with students in Key Stage 1 and 2, helping them engage fully in class activities, supporting them in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
* Support for Learning Plans: Assist teachers in implementing personalized learning plans (IEPs) that cater to each child's specific needs.
* Promote Emotional and Social Development: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to participate.
* Specialist SEN Support: Work with students who may have a variety of learning needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and more. Provide support that is tailored to their individual challenges.
* Encourage Independence: Help students develop essential skills like confidence, self-esteem, and independence through positive reinforcement and targeted interventions.
Qualifications
* Relevant Experience: Experience working with vulnerable people (preferable).
* DBS Check: A valid DBS check is required, or the willingness to apply for one.
* A Caring, Patient, and Adaptable Approach: You must be compassionate, patient, and committed to providing the best support for students with diverse needs.
* Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
