Purpose of the Post
Due to the ongoing growth of the business, we are looking for a full time Park Maintenance Assistant to help with the day to day upkeep of play equipment, buildings, fixtures and fittings at Cotswold Farm Park. This is a role based largely outdoors with a varied and wide ranging scope of work. We have a small and friendly team working in a busy, customer facing environment.
Main Responsibilities
Undertaking wide range of preventative and reactive maintenance requests at Cotswold Farm Park, to include:
1. To provide maintenance support where tasks include basic painting, plumbing, play equipment repairs, carpentry, doors, equipment and fixtures.
2. Assist with loading/unloading of bulk goods, including stocking store cupboards, firewood, animal snacks, softener salt etc.
3. Building and deconstructing temporary event or activity facilities.
4. Assist with Event building and delivery, which can include set up, reactive maintenance, and break down.
5. To carry out routine inspections and checks as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
6. Assist with maintenance work on the wider farm and estate as required.
7. Maintenance Duty Management, including weekend cover on a rota basis (a weekday off in lieu will be given).
8. Mowing, strimming, leaf clearing and weeding.

2. Take reasonable care of items of equipment used to carry out tasks, including general cleanliness and advising on faults and any need for maintenance or replacement goods.
3. Always attend staff meeting and staff training sessions as required.
4. Understand personal responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety at Work legislation and demonstrates a working knowledge of COSHH assessment applicable in own work area.

1. Rough Terrain Forklift.
2. Carpentry - for building and maintaining wooden play features and event props.
3. Basic (for reactive maintenance/troubleshooting) plumbing.
4. A landscaping background would be useful, to include fencing.

Team and Working Pattern
This is a full time, permanent position, working 5 days out of 7 including some weekends on a rota basis during the open season. The standard working day is 8am-5pm with 1/2 hr for lunch.
You will be joining a maintenance team of two full time team members, one part time team member and a Maintenance Manager. Therefore on some days you may be working on your own, as the sole Maintenance Duty person, and other days you may be working with 4 other team members. You will interact regularly with teams across the business which will include balancing competing demands on maintenance requests. We are therefore looking for a candidate who is confident in their own decision making and prioritisation/communication skills but is also happy to work as part of a bigger team when required.
