About the Role: As a CBRE Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do:
1. Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
2. Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
3. Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Utilize available systems to manage work orders and track completion.
4. Support energy management by taking measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
5. Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
6. Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
7. Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
8. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
9. Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
10. Work within broad guidelines and policies.
11. Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You'll Need:
1. Electrical qualification, such as 18th Edition.
2. Previous experience in a Facilities Management or Maintenance role.
3. Meet the physical requirements of this role including standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
4. Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
5. Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
6. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
7. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
8. Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
