Our apprentice will be a key member of the early years’ team and will be responsible for delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children based on their needs and interests. Duties & responsibilities will include: Supporting the children’s development through learning, play & outdoor activities Promoting positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues Contribute to the effectiveness of team workEnsuring the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times & take responsibility alongside the Nursery Management Team for the safety, security and well-being of children, staff and visitorsPromote positive relationships within the early years’ setting & support the team in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS To be a good role model and be able to showcase high quality practice with regards to individual and group work with childrenTo support the management team in assisting the nursery to reach an ‘Outstanding’ grade with OfstedTo embrace, understand and promote the nursery and to understand the role you play as part of the team to provide high levels of care and educationTo ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed in line with Local Authority and company procedures Qualifications RequiredPrevious childcare experience is preferable but not essentialIdeally GCSE English & maths at grade C or above (or equivalent) Skills RequiredSome childcare knowledge would be advantageousGood communication skillsAble to work as part of a team Future ProspectsOn completion of the apprenticeship program, depending on performance and availability, you may be offered a full time role at the Nursery. Training ProvidedEarly Years Practitioner Level 2 or Early Years Educator Level 3
