I work with a wonderful SEN school in Cardiff who are currently seeking an experienced teacher to join their fantastic team on a full-time temporary basis. The school caters for pupils between the ages of 3-11 years old with a variety of learning difficulties and are seeking an experienced teacher who has either professional or personal experience in supporting pupils with ALN. The role will entail leading a small class of pupils to reach learning targets. The classes are smaller than mainstream and you’ll have the support of several teaching assistants in the class. The school are looking for someone who is confident, organised, who can use their own initiative to pick up from the hand over and take responsibility in supporting challenging pupils and help them hit development targets. Due to the learning needs of the pupils who attend this school there may often require the ‘outside the box’ thinking to engage certain pupils and patience to ensure pupils aren’t feeling disheartened when they don’t get it the first time around.
