Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 technician to join the Occupational Therapy team in Neath Port Talbot Hospital. The role will involve working under the occupational therapists' guidance to implement intervention programmes with service users who are inpatients within the hospital. The role will include interventions to improve and maintain occupational performance, and will be geared towards the individual needs and goals of the service users.
The contract will include 7 day working, working no more than 1 in 6 weekends, covering 365 days a year.
This is a part-time post, working hours will be, there is some flexibility regarding working days, Monday - Friday which will be discussed and agreed at interview.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake therapeutic handling of patients and will include the need to undertake home visits to patients' homes to deliver and fit appropriate equipment to facilitate discharge.
The role will also involve administrative duties as required by the department.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply

1. Quality Credit Framework qualification at level 3 eg NVQ or OCN related to Health & Social Care or prepared to work towards
2. Documented evidence of participation in training activities

4. Relevant experience working within health, social or teaching settings
