Job Description
What will you be doing?
We are seeking a talented individual to join our HR team as Policy and Contracts Adviser. Working closely with the HR Employee Relations Manager, the HR Business Partners and the HR Services team to provide proactive and commercial HR advice and guidance to the business to assist them in delivering their overall business strategy. The role will be based in London and with potential travel to other offices as required.
Responsibilities
* Establish and develop trusted relationships across the business at a variety of levels through collaboration and in turn gaining credibility.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices.
* Provide support and guidance to the HR Business Partners in relation to employee relations cases where policy or contractual guidance is required, escalating as needed.
* Lead and/or participate on certain projects e.g. regular policy and process reviews, Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), Whistleblowing etc.
* Provide support to the wider HR Leadership Team as required.
* Provide support on leave of absence queries such as maternity/paternity leave and changes to terms and conditions including flexible working requests etc.
* Compile and analyse HR Management Information – including information updates required for GEC.
* Respond to queries raised by the HR Services team as required.
* Create and review organizational policies to ensure they comply with legal standards and align with business objectives.
* Analyze existing policies to identify areas for improvement and ensure they meet current regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and review contract terms to ensure they are favorable and legally sound.
* Oversee the execution of contracts and ensure all parties adhere to the agreed terms.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with contractual terms.
* Work closely with various departments such as legal, procurement, and finance to develop and manage contracts.
* Liaise with external stakeholders, including clients and vendors, to negotiate and finalize contracts.
* Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
* Prepare regular reports on contract status, performance metrics, and policy compliance.
* Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may impact policies and contracts.
* Ensure all policies and contracts comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should
* Have up-to-date knowledge of HR best practice, employment law and current thinking and developments in HR.
* Be able to manage conflicting priorities & deliver to deadlines.
* Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
* Have excellent systems and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
* Hold a CIPD or equivalent relevant professional qualification/tertiary qualification.
