Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Heanor & Ilkeston, Derbyshire
Salary: £25,512.24 + £40 per sleep-in
Job Type: Full-time / Permanent
Shift Patterns:
* Lates: 14:30 22:00
* Early & Sleep-in: 07:30 15:00 + sleep
* Full Shift: 07:30 22:00
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join the team. You will be supporting young people with autism and associated learning difficulties in a structured and nurturing residential setting, while also taking on additional responsibilities to support the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
• Lead, mentor, and support junior staff members.
• Assist with daily routines, personal care, and activities.
• Support the emotional and social development of young people.
• Work within safeguarding guidelines and care plans.
• Take a proactive role in implementing care strategies and ensuring best practices.
• Engage in household tasks and maintain a safe, homely environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and teachers.
What We're Looking For:
• NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (essential).
• Experience in residential childcare (essential).
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Patience, resilience, and a caring nature.
• A commitment to promoting independence and positive outcomes for young people.
