They are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team, providing high quality support and teaching for young people with special educational needs. As a SEN teacher, you will work across various classes, supporting students across all ages. Based on a stunning campus surrounded by beautiful woodland and the seaside, our school caters for students with autism and complex needs from 3 - 19 years. Therefore, there are opportunities to work across primary, secondary and post-16 levels. With an adapted curriculum, no two days are the same. They have fantastic provisions such as a forest school, woodland walk, bike trail, swimming pool and much more! Key responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students with special educational needs
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and learning styles
* Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO’s and other staff to provide targeted support
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and staff
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support a diverse range of needs. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well within a team. Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting young people is essential. You will have a Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools, Level 4 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or other relevant qualifications in nursery work or childcare. Qualified Teacher Status is preferable but not essential.
You will be working Monday to Friday, term time only, 08:45 - 15:45.
