On behalf of our client, Kingston Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Officer to assist with the day-to-day operations of their Finance Department. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of SAGE and will be responsible for duties including, but not limited to, the payment of invoices, BACS and cheque runs, and journals. This is a temporary role, providing Maternity Cover.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Responsibility for the purchase order system
* Responsibility for placing orders either via the purchase order system or with the client credit card including keeping accurate records of orders placed
* Maintain register of assets
* Processing of accounts payable i.e. payment of invoices, BACS and cheque runs, and journals.
* Recording all invoices on the Finance post log.
* Liaising with internal and external parties regularly and dealing with relevant queries.
* Responsibility for trips and visits accounts, keeping accurate records and ensuring clear communication links between the finance office and trip/visit organisers.
* Keep accurate records for all accounts.
* Prepare bank reconciliations.
* Reconciling petty cash accounts and keeping accurate records.
* Responsibility for cashless systems.
* Transferring accurate data onto the system including the processing of journals
* Providing cover for other Finance Officers in the event of absence.
Requirements:
* SAGE experience.
* Minimum of 1 year experience within a similar role.
Hours/Days: 37 hours per week. Temporary role providing Maternity Cover from September until December 2024.
