An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 3 HCSW within Balcurvie ward, Cameron. Experience in Care of the older person is paramount.
Balcurvie ward is a 20 bedded recovery and adaptation ward. We strive to provide high quality, person centred care.
You must have excellent organisational skills, effective communication both verbal and written. You must be a team player and have a genuine interest in working within this area. Knowledge and experience to support this role is essential, and an appropriate SVQ is desirable.
If successful in your application, you will be offered the opportunity to undertake an SVQ2 or SVQ3 (dependent on band) in Health and Social Care, approximately 9 months after taking up post. It is expected that you complete this qualification, which will be fully funded by NHS Fife. Your Line Manager will provide you with more information once you are in post.
Mandatory training is essential as there is a high level of moving and handling techniques needed in this role. You will be supported in your role with ongoing training, which includes the completion of cannulation, catheterisation, and various other clinical skills.
