Purpose of the Role
My client is seeking a driven and enthusiastic IT Service Manager to ensure that IT services are delivered efficiently and effectively align with business needs. The role involves managing essential ITIL practices, including Change, Problem, License, CSI, and Service Asset and Configuration Management, as well as overseeing business and third-party relationship management and supporting IT risk and service strategies. The ideal candidate will drive innovation and automation with proactive management and insightful MI reporting, furthering IT service delivery maturity and best practices.
Duties and Accountabilities
* Business Relationship Management : Maintain an understanding of IT service needs across the organization, identifying continual service improvements.
* Performance Monitoring : Oversee IT MI & KPI reporting to support informed decision-making.
* Third-Party Relationship Management : Ensure key partnerships meet business demands and provide value.
* ITIL Best Practice Implementation : Manage critical ITIL functions like Change Control, Problem, SACM, CSI, and License management.
* User Group Implementation : Lead user groups to enhance products, ensuring delivery models meet business needs.
* Financial Oversight : Manage financial aspects of IT Service Delivery, including budgeting and cost control for third-party invoicing.
* Policy Development : Establish IT controls, policies, and process documentation.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role
* ITIL qualifications
* Expertise in IT controls, Business Relationship Management, and Vendor Management
* Strong communication, influencing skills, and a track record of team leadership
* Self-motivation, a proactive approach, and the ability to build relationships across teams
* A positive attitude, with a readiness to work hands-on as needed
* Commercial acumen, including experience with third-party vendor management
* Knowledge of Lloyd’s/London Market or general insurance
