Job Title: Teacher of Computer Science
Hours: 32.5 per week
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (MPS-UPS)
Contract: Full Time, Full Year, Permanent

Bramhall High is an expanding and inclusive comprehensive school of around 1300 students. Our strengths include strong examination results in a wide range of subjects. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational experienced teacher, or an outstanding ECT, with a strong commitment to raising achievement and standards with an informed and creative approach to curriculum delivery.
The successful candidate will be able to offer outstanding teaching to KS3 and KS4 Computer Science. They will also have a willingness to get involved in extra-curricular activities.
Departmental Structure and Organisation
All students in Years 7, 8 and 9 study computing for one lesson per week in one of our 5 dedicated computer suites. Students follow an exciting and up to date curriculum using a variety of programming languages including visual-based languages in Scratch and text-based languages such as Python and HTML. Other specific applications are used such as the Microsoft Office suite, including Teams, Excel and Access.
Computer Science is a very popular option course following the OCR GCSE course over two years and covering a wide-ranging syllabus on all aspects of Computing.
This is an exciting time to join an innovative forward-thinking department which is looking to expand the range of experiences offered to our students by developing the subject of Computing over the forthcoming years alongside the current Business and Digital Information Technology courses.
