We are seeking an experienced Logistics Project Manager for a business-critical role, working in a dynamic and ambitious 3PL provider. Our client is a Warehouse biased, Global player within the 3PL Contract Logistics World. With a strong client base and financial group stability, this role is highly likely to develop into a Head of level role within the next 3-5 years across an expanding UK network.
The Role
Responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of ranging projects across their UK network consisting of current and future sites. This role involves working with key internal & external stakeholders, clients, and the global business to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client or internal stakeholder requirements.
1. Plan and develop projects in line with client or internal stakeholder expectations.
2. Create detailed project plans to guide clients and team members.
3. Identify and allocate project tasks based on team members' skills, experience, and strengths.
4. Direct and oversee the successful completion of implementations and projects.
5. Develop actionable plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and work plans.
6. Monitor project performance to ensure timely delivery and alignment with the business case.
7. Compile and submit project status reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders.
8. Collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient project implementation.
9. Build strong leadership and customer relationships.
10. Maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders.
11. Work closely with customers and sites to fully understand their requirements and expectations.
12. Assess risks and establish contingency plans.
13. Manage contributions from various stakeholders.
The Candidate
1. 5+ Years Project Management experience in a 3PL environment – Essential.
2. Proven track record of delivering multiple complex projects – Essential.
3. Knowledge of Warehouse and Transport operations – Essential.
4. Experience in Warehouse Solution Design – Advantageous.
5. Expertise in process improvement, with Six Sigma / Kaizen knowledge – Essential.
6. Strong negotiation skills – Essential.
7. An awareness of Warehouse Automation – Highly Advantageous.
8. Technical background with the ability to confidently present technical issues and solutions to customers.
9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
10. Strong technical writing skills.
11. Valid UK driving licence.
The Package
Salary - £55,000 to £65,000.
Car Allowance (£6,000).
