Job Responsibilities
The School Administrator plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations within the school, providing critical support to the Headteachers, staff, students, and parents. Their primary responsibilities include:
1. Administrative Support for Headteachers:
Assist Headteachers with administrative tasks, including the development, distribution, and maintenance of support plans for students.
Coordinate daily logs, tracking attendance, punctuality, and staff coverage as needed.
Maintain and update the school's timetable, ensuring accurate scheduling for classes and events.
Support in the creation, review, and organization of lesson plans, collaborating with teachers to ensure plans are accessible and up-to-date.
2. Parent and Community Engagement:
Schedule and organize parent-teacher meetings, providing necessary materials and supporting communication.
Manage parent inquiries and follow up on requests or concerns, acting as a liaison between parents and school staff.
Facilitate communication with the school community regarding events, schedules, and important announcements.
3. Documentation and Record Management:
Maintain organized, confidential records for students and staff, including support plans, performance logs, and attendance records.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of reports, forms, and documentation required by the school or regulatory bodies.
Coordinate with HR or relevant departments to manage records related to staff attendance and leave.
4. School Scheduling and Coordination:
Assist in the creation and distribution of timetables and calendars for staff, students, and school events.
Support teachers and administration in managing schedules for school activities, field trips, and events.
Organize and monitor school supplies and resources, ensuring all teaching and administrative staff have the necessary materials.
5. General Office Duties:
Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide information or assistance as needed.
Assist with email correspondence and other communication, ensuring responses are timely and professional.
Support the smooth operation of the school's front office and maintain a welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors.
6. Student Support:
Assist in tracking and supporting students' progress on support plans and other individualized programs.
Coordinate with teachers to update records related to student performance and support initiatives.
