Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 support and assist in small group sessions for students aged 11-19 with SEN and MH needs, helping them engage with lessons and participate in class activities.
2. Implement individualized support strategies to assist students with academic, social, and emotional development.
3. Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to monitor progress, contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and track improvements.
4. Support the social and emotional well-being of students, helping them build self-confidence, resilience, and strong social skills.
5. Foster a positive classroom environment, promoting respect, focus, and engagement among students.
6. Provide feedback to teachers and colleagues to help improve student outcomes and refine intervention strategies.
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience working with students with SEN and/or Mental Health challenges is desirable, but not essential.
2. We encourage applications from individuals with experience in the care sector or similar roles, as transferable skills such as empathy, patience, and the ability to support others in challenging circumstances are highly valued.
3. A genuine passion for working with students with additional needs and a commitment to supporting their academic and personal growth.
4. A patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach to working with students.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

8. Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential.
