We would like to invite flexible, enthusiastic, resilient and dynamic Health Visitor to join our friendly, enthusiastic and experienced Health Visitor team based at Fraserburgh. This post allows an HV to manage their own caseload, which has child protection and additional families within the caseload. The caseload offers a great variety of experiences.
Aberdeenshire is a predominantly rural area in North East Scotland, traditionally economically dependent upon the primary sectors (Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing), related processing industries and the energy industry. It covers 6,313 km² or 8% of Scotland’s overall territory, and includes the Cairngorm Mountains, rich agricultural lowlands and varied coastal landscapes.
Fraserburgh is a fishing town North of Aberdeen which has seen significant housing development over the past few years and an increasing young family population. Aberdeen is the nearest city and has an airport for travelling. Aberdeen city and Aberdeen airport are approximately over an hour and a half drive away, so within commuting if needed.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and embrace skill mix team working. Health visiting experience in multi agency working and in child protection is desirable. Good sense of humour essential.
This post would also be suitable for newly qualified Health Visitor. We would also consider candidates who wish to apply under Annex 21. Consideration will be given to current Trainee Health visitors undertaking SCPHN training.
