We are currently working in partnership with a public sector organisation who are looking for a Childcare Solicitor to join the team on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position based predominantly from home, with 1 day per week in the office in Oxford, and a salary of £45,495 to £52,658 per annum. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, with extensive experience dealing with Childcare legal matters within a local authority. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Managing a varied caseload covering a wide range of Childcare legal matters Undertaking complex proceedings, including complex advocacy work Representing the organisation and supporting the delivery of legal services Providing strategic support to Elected Members and Directorate and Corporate teams Supporting the development and delivery of Service Level Agreements between Legal Services and internal clients Proactively managing risks and opportunities in the best interest of the organisation, escalating issues of concern to the Senior Lawyer and Principal Solicitor Experience required: Qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive Experience within local government essential Strong experience within Childcare and Family Law is essential Rewards and Benefits: Up to 32 days annual leave ( bank holidays) Excellent pension scheme, with employer contributions of up to 20% of salary Family friendly schemes, including generous maternity, paternity and support for carers and a tax-saving childcare voucher scheme Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
