Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm on the appointment of a SHEQ Manager .
As a SHEQ Manager, you will lead and implement the organisation’s Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality strategies, ensuring compliance, safety, and continuous improvement across all operations.
In your new role:
* Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices
* Lead and conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify areas for improvement and to mitigate risks
* Promote a safety-first culture by delivering training and awareness programs for staff at all levels
* Oversee incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are applied
* Collaborate with department leaders to establish and meet SHEQ objectives aligned with company goals
* Prepare and present SHEQ reports and metrics to senior management, making recommendations for improvements
* Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance
What you will need to succeed:
* 3+ years’ experience in a similar Health and Safety role
* Relevant NEBOSH qualification
* Experience with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001
* Experience with investigations, audits, inspections, compiling reports and making recommendations as appropriate
* Understanding of lean manufacturing
* Good communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills
* Excellent IT skills (MS Office)
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
* Internal auditor certification
* Environmental certification
