A field service engineer position is available for a leading medical device company.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent customer-facing abilities, and the capacity to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
* Efficiently manage scheduled maintenance and proactive scheduling.
* Develop solutions for critical issues and creatively resolve complex problems.
* Collaborate with the Service Manager to identify opportunities for upgrades and new purchases.
* Identify error codes, recurring problems, and unique troubleshooting solutions.
* Communicate issues effectively through detailed reports.
* Instruct customers on system operation and maintenance.
* Serve as a liaison between customers and in-house teams.
* Document all service activities according to regulatory standards.
* Promote service contract revenue and new product awareness.
Requirements
* A proven track record as a field service engineer or technical support engineer.
* Relevant engineering qualifications, such as an HND in Electronic Engineering.
* Skilled in fault-finding and delivering first-time fix solutions.
* Strong customer-facing abilities, along with a positive approach and autonomy.
* Excellent at building and sustaining customer relationships.
* Ability to manage territory effectively and travel occasionally.
* UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
Salary Range
£40,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
