Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Gas Heating Engineer to join their team based in York, for an immediate start. This is on an interim basis, for a minimum of 3 months, with the potential to go from temp to perm. Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm.
The rate of pay is £16.27 per hour. You’ll be provided with a work vehicle, PDA Tablet (with fully confirmed job appointments), mobile phone, Calibrated Gas Flue Analyser and PPE equipment.
You will be required to carry out day to day repairs, fault finding and annual servicing to domestic gas appliances in occupied properties. You must be competent in boiler servicing, maintenance and breakdown, as well as providing Landlord Gas Safety Certificates. Punctuality, politeness and good written and verbal communication skills are key.
Requirements for the role include:
1. Gas Safe Accreditation
2. NVQ level 3 (Plumbing & Heating) qualified or an equivalent recognised national qualification
3. Current ACS accreditation to include CCN1, CEN1 or CENWAT, CPA1, HTR1, CKR1
4. Valid UK driving Licence
5. Although not essential, the following qualifications would also help: Part P, Part L, Asbestos Awareness, Working At Height and Manual Handling.
