An opportunity has arisen to join Darlington Borough Councilandrsquo;s Legal Service in our small and friendly Litigation Team

The post is the main point of contact for civil litigation, including debt recovery and employment.
Housing work is a significant part of the role, including possession applications, injunctions, anti-social behaviour casework, disrepair claims and dealing with other housing matters.
andnbsp;andnbsp;
While having a working knowledge and/or practical experience of civil litigation is a requirement, we are not expecting that applicants will necessarily have experience in all of the areas outlined.
andnbsp;Applications are welcome from candidates who are newly qualified and/or applicants who have gained their legal experience outside of local government.andnbsp;
There will be some opportunities to develop experience, including beyond civil litigation, such as licensing or prosecutions.
The working arrangements are flexible. The office base is the Town Hall in Darlington with the opportunity to work from home on an agile basis, in line with the requirements of the team.
