PE Teacher – SEMH School, Leyland (ASAP Start – End of Academic Year)
Are you a passionate PE Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? A specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Leyland is seeking a dedicated and resilient PE Teacher to join their team as soon as possible, with the role continuing until the end of the academic year.
The Role:
1. Delivering engaging PE lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH and additional learning needs.
2. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages physical activity and personal development.
3. Supporting students in building confidence, teamwork, and resilience through sport and physical education.
4. Working closely with support staff and other teachers to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
5. Managing challenging behaviour effectively and promoting positive behaviour strategies.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Experience working with students with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviours (preferred but not essential).
3. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse needs.
4. A commitment to making a meaningful impact on students’ educational and personal growth.
