A Vacancy at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
An exciting opportunity has come up within the Cardiovascular division for a Band 6 nurse with a specialist interest in compliance, governance and audit.
The candidate required for this role will lead compliance, audit and governance within the division, under the guidance of divisional leads.
This is a standalone, the candidate will need to follow their own initiative and work independently.
This role would also manage the Band 5 Audit facilitator post.
Under the direction of the Cardiovascular governance leads the post holder will:
• Be responsible for providing expertise, advice and practical support and coordinate a portfolio of specific audit projects which may arise from National/Regional/Trust/Local priorities and from Risk issues.
• Ensure the development and dissemination of the clinical compliance and audit quality improvement strategy across directorates and will work with agreed divisions, clinical services, specialities and professional groups to develop, plan, guide, support and report on related activities. The post holder will ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained.
• Ensure clinical quality, clinical effectiveness, and priorities for improving patient clinical outcomes remain one of the top priorities within the clinical area and department and shall facilitate and support the adoption of this culture.
• Ensure staff are actively involved in the Trusts vision to have a proactive rather than a reactive approach to quality and safety management across the organisation.
• The post holder will work closely with internal teams (quality governance, operational and corporate management teams and staff at all levels) and externally teams/key stakeholders.
• The post holder will be required to work independently.
• Manage the Band 5 Audit facilitator.
This is a friendly division, focused on delivering excellent clinical outcomes for patients.
This role has been redesigned for a clinical person to realign the role and provide audit and governance compliance and improvements.
Key contacts will be the governance lead of Cardiology and Vascular, and you will work under their guidance.
However, this is a standalone, and there will be a large amount of autonomy. The successful candidate will need to follow their own initiative and work independently.
