I am currently working with a Tier 1 National Facilities provider who are seeking an Acquisitions Surveyor based in their Head Office to look after London and the South East. They are well established in the industry with a great market reputation.
Your new role
They are looking for someone preferably with experience of the New Site Acquisition or SRN projects with Code experience or new greenfield site acquisition for this particular role is a must.
* Confidently be able to review and summarise key content from Lease and Licence documents.
* Undertake desktop acquisition and planning research for input into site search appraisals.
* Confidently be able to negotiate terms, acquire heads of terms, and agree rights including, where applicable, the necessary wayleave and easements with site owners and their agents in accordance with The Code.
* Organise and attend site visits, liaising with site owners and their agents.
* Be able to lead and drive during client meetings.
* Manage and train juniors to submit handover packs once necessary milestones have been completed.
* Provide updates on individual sites to project managers and clients.
* Apply excellent commercial acumen and awareness of good financial practice.
* Be directly responsible for the day-to-day management of your team, including task allocation, maintaining quality and performing the role of a Line Manager for juniors.
* Provide professional discipline related guidance to an allocated individual.
* Manage Acquisition Activities for specific projects and report to Project PM.
* Provide acquisition training pertinent to discipline and experience.
* Undertake appraisals and mentor those that are more focused on your own specialism, identify training needs, support journey to chartership, and act upon all individuals welfare and wellbeing needs.
* Escalations - ability to handle difficult situations/escalations in a patient, calm and effective manner.
* You will have the ability to identify, instruct and manage third party suppliers, e.g. ecologists, drone pilots, Arboriculturist and site provider agents.
* Input into tenders, requests for pricing (RFPs) and forging new client relationships.
What you'll need to succeed
5+ Years experience in acquisitions and planning.
RICS Accredited degree and/ or MRICS or working towards.
What you'll get in return
* Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + package + benefits.
