IKO PLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of machinery and equipment within our production facility. This role requires expertise in both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
* Conduct routine inspections and servicing of plant machinery.
* Work closely with the production team to minimize equipment downtime and improve productivity.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and equipment efficiency.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
* Work as part of a team and liaise with external contractors when necessary.
* Work on automation systems including Siemens, Rockwell – Allen Bradley, GE, Mitsubishi, and Omron control systems.
* Perform system backups, SCADA, HMI & PLC modifications and integration, and system upgrades.
* Work on system controls and I/O’s across site instrumentation and fault finding.
* Maintain and troubleshoot inverters and 3-phase motors.
* Support the instrumentation of the tank farm.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Experience with PLC systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is desirable.
* A recognized engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical engineering.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Flexibility to work shifts and respond to call-outs when required.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
* Experience with predictive maintenance techniques.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
