Payroll Manager
Based in Stoke on Trent
up to £50,000 DOE
Your new role
* Manage, oversee and assist with the end-to-end processing of all payroll and pension.
* Resolve and review payroll queries.
* Ensure that procedures and processes are followed accurately to meet legislative requirements.
* Implement new and changing employment legislation to ensure accuracy.
* Manage and supervise the payroll team, completing regular training, feedback, development plans, and admin.
* Ensure team is trained and up-to-date with payroll best practices and legislative changes.
* Ensure that all HMRC submissions are made.
* Carry out payroll reconciliations and ensure all legislative timescales are adhered to.
* Ensure that the payroll reports are provided to the finance team in a timely manner.
* Involvement in process improvement and changes to develop efficiencies and a positive culture within the payroll and wider finance team.
* Maintain and monitor the payroll systems and software.
What you'll need to succeed
* End-to-end payroll experience within a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in monthly, salaried, weekly, and hourly payroll processing.
* Experience of leading and coaching a small team.
* Experience dealing with complex payroll processing.
* Ability to follow and implement new payroll legislation.
* CIPP - desirable, not essential.
* Sage 50 Payroll - desirable.
* Undertake a clear DBS check.
