One of the dynamic primary schools that we are working with, located in the heart of Plymouth, is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and thriving team in a long term position to start ASAP.
About the Role:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the development of the students, helping to create an engaging and inclusive educational environment. You will assist in daily classroom activities, support individual and group learning, and contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
6. Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
7. Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom setup.
8. Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive working environment.
9. Provide additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) under the direction of the SENCO.
10. Facilitate small group sessions and one-to-one support for students requiring additional help.
11. Participate in school events, trips, and activities, ensuring student safety and learning engagement.
Ideal Candidate must have:
12. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent (preferred).
13. Experience working with children in an educational setting with 2 proven professional references.
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
15. An Enhanced DBS on the update service
16. Right to work in the UK
17. A positive and proactive approach to challenges.
18. A commitment to professional development and a keen interest in educational practices.
19. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
