We are pleased to be supporting our client a well-established leading manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Demand Planner for a minimum 3-month Fixed Term Contract with a high chance of a contract extension or permanent opportunity for those seeking a longer-term opportunity. We are keen to hear from candidates with a strong planning and logistics background with the ability to oversee systems and processes ensuring full cycle management of the product journey is achieved. You’ll be joining a dynamic team of industry experts and ideally be able to ‘hit the ground running’ therefore any knowledge you have of logistics, planning, shipping of goods, import/export will be highly advantageous. In addition, you’ll need to be highly proficient, organised and solutions focused. This is a varied role with overall responsibility for ensuring stock, packages, materials and products are processed through company delivery and warehouse systems in addition to processing orders and overseeing the order fulfilment cycle. Role Outline Inventory: Overseeing inventory of goods and vehicles, and receiving orders to add to inventory Supply chain: ensuring that the quality of services meets required standards Shipping: Coordinating transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate shipments, and making special arrangements when needed Communication: Facilitating communication between production, sales, and distribution stages, and responding to customer inquiries Cost management: Reviewing freight costs, transportation rates, and raw material prices Compliance: Ensuring that shipping methods comply with rules, regulations, and laws Warehouse: Keeping warehouse capacity at optimal levels Experience Required Experience in Planning and Logistics within manufacturing setting – desired We are open to considering candidates with experience in a similar capacity where direct and transferable skills can translate within the requirements of the role. Shipping/freight experience – highly beneficial Import and/or Export knowledge – highly beneficial Experience with stock, inventory and order fulfilment within busy, time sensitive environment. Excellent communication, organisation and multitasking skills Ability to find solutions to challenges, manage systems and implement improvements as required.
